Megan Callaghan

B.A., LMFT
Clinician and Group Facilitator
Megan is a licensed therapist who is a newly hired Clinician at The Haven at College. Megan received her B.A. in Education/Child Development from Pepperdine University and her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. She initially worked as a therapist at a community-based counseling center where she first realized the power of approaching therapy from a person-centered, family systems-based approach. Megan then moved into working at a DMH site with adults experiencing long-term major mental illnesses and homelessness. After seeing how much of their struggle stemmed from their adolescence and young adulthoods, Megan felt called to return to work with people in those pivotal years. She has worked with young adults in treatment for the last four years and has found her passion in that world helping people get through those transitional years and learning to thrive. She comes to therapy with a relational-centered approach and understands the need to meet clients where they are in order to connect fully and work toward healing. Megan is trained in and utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy to assist clients in understanding and accepting their stories and emotions in order to move forward.
