Seth Meyers
Seth Meyers, PsyD, Clinical Director for The Haven at College, is a licensed clinical psychologist. He was educated at Vassar College and the APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University in New York. He completed his APA-accredited internship at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City and his postdoctoral fellowship in addiction treatment at the Weingart Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Meyers spent 14 years working in the Department of Mental Health system in Los Angeles County, including roles as a clinician, Program Director for treatment of serious and chronic mental illness (Full Service Partnership), and a member of the specialized School Threat Assessment and Response Team under the Emergency Outreach Bureau. Dr. Meyers spent the next several years as a mental health director at one of California’s largest colleges,developing and overseeing mental health programming to support students.
Dr. Meyers has been trained in Cognitive Behavior-Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Triple P, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), among others. He has received extensive training in personality disorders, psychopathy, and suicide and violence risk assessment and prevention. His ultimate commitment is to bring the most effective and user-friendly mental health treatments to the community at large to promote optimal well-being.
